FAQ
- What is this? Why? Huh?
Why not. We like to run. We like to go long distances. Plus its a leap year. We need to do
something to celebrate
- What does it cost?
Nothing. Zippo. This is for fun.
- How does it work?
This race works on the honor system. You are responsible for yourself. This means only you know
if you go the full distance or not. You also need to provide your own support-food, drink, etc.
For the group we're part of, we're planning on starting at 12:00 noon on the 29th, ending at 5:00 PM
on 3/1/08.
This is similar to a Club Fatass run. Matter of fact, we're suprised
they're not doing this.
At least one mile of your run must be run on the 29th
- Do I need to register?
Nope. Unless you want to. If you do, you'll have the honor of having your name posted on a website
as a participant. If you want to be part of a group/team, this will help us get in touch with you
- How do I register?
Use the form on the contact page to send us a message.
Tell us your name, age, location and whether you want to be contacted about updates or
other things. (Sorry, we won't be selling your name. If you want to be put on that list,
be sure to let us know. haha.)
- Does it cost anything?
No. Well, if you want to give us money...nah. Donate it to charity.
One participant in the United Kingdom is raising money for Alzheimers Society. Feel free to
donate there, but you're
on your own for the currency conversion.
- Really???
Yes. Really. This is a running race that costs you nothing.
Once we have shirts made, we'll post it so you can buy one.
- What if I want to run with a group?
Please do. If your in the Braselton, Georgia area, your welcome to join our group. (Details
still to be worked out)
If you are looking for a group in your area, let us know. We're trying to figure out how to
help organize this. See registration above.
- I already have a race planned for 2/29 or 3/1. Can I still participate?
Of course. We don't care how you get the miles, as long as you get them. Matter of fact, a lot of
our group has a half-marathon
planned for Saturday morning.
- Can I help
Sure! Email us any suggestions you have.
- I have more questions. What now?
Drop us a line. As part of the challenge of this, the whole event is being planned in 29 days,
so our website is constantly being updated. (Not to include the fact we'd rather be running
instead of staring at a computer.)
